Welcome to Leafprint. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Leafprint mobile application, website, and all related services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Leafprint application or any related services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service. Your continued use of the Service following the posting of any changes to these Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Leafprint ("we," "us," "our," or the "Company") regarding your use of the Service.
You must meet the following age requirements to use Leafprint:
By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet the applicable age requirement and that you are legally permitted to use cannabis in your jurisdiction. We reserve the right to request proof of age or medical authorization at any time and to suspend or terminate accounts that do not meet these requirements.
Important: Leafprint does not knowingly collect information from or provide services to individuals under the age of 18. If we learn that a user is under the minimum required age, we will promptly terminate their account and delete any associated data.
Leafprint is a cannabis strain tracking journal application with AI-powered recommendations. The Service includes, but is not limited to, the following features:
A calendar-based journal that allows you to log cannabis sessions, including strain used, consumption method, dosage, effects experienced, mood, personal notes, and ratings. The journal provides visual analytics including heat maps and usage pattern tracking.
A curated database of cannabis strain profiles containing information such as strain name, type classification (Indica, Sativa, Hybrid), THC and CBD percentages, terpene profiles, common effects, flavors, and growing information. Strain data is provided for informational purposes and may vary by grower, batch, and region.
A personalized recommendation engine that analyzes your journal entries, ratings, and stated preferences to suggest cannabis strains that may align with your tastes. The AI engine provides match scores, predicted ratings, and plain-language explanations for each recommendation.
Visual, interactive genetic family trees that display the parent strains, grandparent strains, and descendants of cannabis varieties. Lineage maps feature a radial tree layout with gesture-based navigation including pinch-to-zoom and pan controls.
An engagement system including experience points (XP), achievements, streaks, and levels that reward consistent use and exploration of the app's features.
The ability to export your journal data in PDF or CSV format for personal records or to share with healthcare providers.
Leafprint supports anonymous usage. You may use the core features of the Service without providing any personally identifiable information. Anonymous accounts store all data locally on your device. Please note that data associated with anonymous accounts cannot be recovered if your device is lost, damaged, or the application is uninstalled.
You may optionally create a registered account using an email address and password. Registered accounts enable cloud synchronization, cross-device access, and data backup. When creating a registered account, you agree to:
You are solely responsible for safeguarding the credentials used to access your account. We will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials. You may not share, transfer, or sell your account to any other person or entity.
You retain full ownership of all content and data you create, submit, or store through the Service, including but not limited to journal entries, session notes, ratings, reviews, and personal preferences ("User Content"). Leafprint does not claim any ownership rights over your User Content.
By using the Service with a registered account and cloud synchronization enabled, you grant Leafprint a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and transmit your User Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service. This license terminates when you delete your User Content or your account.
You have the right to export your User Content at any time using the built-in export functionality. We support export in PDF and CSV formats. Upon account deletion, we will delete all User Content from our servers in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We may create aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified data derived from your User Content and usage of the Service ("Aggregated Data"). Aggregated Data does not identify you personally and is not considered User Content. We may use Aggregated Data for any lawful purpose, including analytics, research, and improvement of the Service.
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action against anyone who, in our sole discretion, violates this Acceptable Use Policy, including without limitation removing content, suspending or terminating accounts, and reporting violations to law enforcement authorities.
Leafprint's AI-powered strain recommendations are not medical advice. The recommendations generated by our AI engine are provided for informational and entertainment purposes only and should not be construed as medical, health, therapeutic, or professional advice of any kind.

Leafprint is designed for use exclusively in jurisdictions where cannabis possession and use is legal under applicable local, state, provincial, and/or national law. The Service is intended for use by adults who are legally authorized to possess and consume cannabis in their jurisdiction.
Leafprint does not promote, encourage, or facilitate the illegal use, purchase, sale, cultivation, or distribution of cannabis or any controlled substance. The Service is a personal tracking and informational tool only. The inclusion of any strain, product, or information in the Service does not constitute an endorsement or recommendation for illegal use.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of cannabis and the Service complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances in your jurisdiction. Cannabis laws vary significantly by location and are subject to change. Leafprint does not provide legal advice and makes no representations about the legality of cannabis in any jurisdiction.
Cannabis remains classified as a controlled substance under United States federal law and under the laws of many other countries. Use of this Service does not protect you from enforcement of federal or other applicable laws. You acknowledge this fact and assume all risks associated with your cannabis use.
The Service and its original content, features, functionality, design, graphics, logos, icons, images, user interface, strain database content, lineage data, AI algorithms, and all related intellectual property (excluding User Content) are and shall remain the exclusive property of Leafprint and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
The Leafprint name, logo, and all related names, logos, product and service names, designs, and slogans are trademarks of Leafprint or its affiliates. You may not use such marks without our prior written permission. All other names, logos, product and service names, designs, and slogans on the Service are the trademarks of their respective owners.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to download, install, and use the Service on a personal device that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use.
The Service integrates with and relies upon certain third-party services to provide its functionality. By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
We use Google Firebase for authentication, cloud data storage, analytics, and other backend services. Your use of these features is subject to Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Data processed through Firebase may be stored on Google servers and is subject to Google's data handling practices.
Our AI recommendation engine utilizes OpenAI's technology. When you use AI-powered features, certain data from your journal entries may be processed by OpenAI's services to generate recommendations. This data is transmitted securely and is subject to OpenAI's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. We take measures to minimize the personal data shared with OpenAI and do not share your identity or account information.
We are not responsible for the practices, policies, content, or availability of any third-party services. Your interactions with third-party services are governed by their respective terms and policies. We encourage you to review the terms and privacy policies of any third-party services you access through our Service.
Leafprint offers a free tier that provides access to core features including the strain library, basic journal functionality, and lineage maps. The free tier may include advertisements from third-party advertisers or promotional content from Leafprint.
We may offer premium subscription plans or in-app purchases ("Premium Features") that provide access to enhanced functionality, additional content, an ad-free experience, or other benefits. Premium Features, their pricing, and their terms will be clearly presented before purchase.
If you purchase a subscription, it will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. You may manage and cancel your subscription through your device's app store settings (Apple App Store or Google Play Store). Refunds are subject to the policies of the applicable app store.
Advertisements displayed within the Service may be targeted based on your general usage patterns and preferences. We do not sell your personal information to advertisers. For more information about how we handle advertising data, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US, IF ANY, IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE LIABILITY, OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100 USD), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES. IF THESE LAWS APPLY TO YOU, SOME OR ALL OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY, AND YOU MAY HAVE ADDITIONAL RIGHTS.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE. WE SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIM ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Leafprint is not a healthcare provider. Nothing in the Service, including strain information, terpene profiles, effect descriptions, and AI recommendations, constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Cannabis affects each individual differently. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before beginning, modifying, or discontinuing any cannabis use, especially if you have underlying health conditions or are taking other medications.
We make no claims regarding the therapeutic efficacy of any cannabis strain, product, or consumption method. The health-related information provided through the Service is compiled from publicly available sources and user-contributed data and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated.
While we strive to provide accurate strain information, lineage data, and THC/CBD percentages, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any information provided through the Service. Cannabis products vary significantly by grower, batch, region, and testing methodology. The information in our strain library should be considered approximate and informational only.
Nothing in the Service constitutes legal advice. Cannabis laws vary by jurisdiction and are subject to change. Leafprint does not provide legal counsel regarding the legality of cannabis use in your jurisdiction. You are solely responsible for understanding and complying with all applicable laws.
You may terminate your account at any time by deleting your account through the app settings or by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. For anonymous accounts, simply uninstalling the application effectively terminates your use.
We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at our sole discretion, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to:
Upon termination, all licenses and rights granted to you under these Terms will immediately cease. We may delete your User Content from our servers, though certain data may be retained as required by law or for legitimate business purposes. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including but not limited to ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. If a revision is material, we will make reasonable efforts to provide at least thirty (30) days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. Notice may be provided through:

By continuing to access or use the Service after any revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. Any legal suit, action, or proceeding arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service shall be instituted exclusively in the federal courts of the United States or the courts of the State of California. You waive any and all objections to the exercise of jurisdiction over you by such courts and to venue in such courts.
Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service that cannot be resolved through informal negotiation shall be resolved through binding arbitration conducted under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall take place in the State of California. You agree that any arbitration shall be conducted on an individual basis and not as a class, consolidated, or representative action.
